PRIVACY AT CAMNETIX
Your information. A clear purpose.
This policy explains how CamNetix uses personal information when you browse our website, prepare an equipment list, request a quotation or contact us. The catalogue supports quotation requests; it does not take online payments.
1. About this policy
CamNetix is the brand presented on this website, based in Tirana, Albania. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CamNetix and the people responsible for running the website and handling your enquiries.
For questions about your information or to exercise a privacy right, email info@camnetix.com with the subject “Privacy request”, or call +355 69 431 0990. Please include enough detail for us to find the relevant enquiry.
2. Information we use
- Details you provide. Your name, email address, and any telephone number, company, site location or project information you choose to share. This includes equipment models, quantities, installation requirements and correspondence sent through our forms, email, telephone or WhatsApp.
- Enquiry and quotation records. Request references, dates, status, relevant notes and the form acknowledgement, together with proposals and related communications. These may include recipient details, message content, delivery outcomes and private PDF copies of prepared offers. Authorised users can export quotation records for handling the request.
- Session and technical information. A browser session keeps your quotation list and relevant form information available as you prepare a request. Technical records help operate the website and limit repeated or duplicate submissions. Server and security logs may include IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser information.
The form requires a name, an email address and enough information to understand the request, through selected equipment or a project message. Other contact fields are optional. Without the required information, we may be unable to answer. You can browse products without creating an account.
Please send only information relevant to your request. Do not use the general enquiry form to send passwords, alarm codes, payment card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information. If technical access is needed, we will agree a suitable method separately. If you provide another person’s details, make sure you are entitled to share them.
3. How and why we use information
- To respond to your request. We review requirements, check equipment options, prepare proposals and arrange requested work. This supports steps you ask us to take before a contract and, where applicable, delivery of an agreed service.
- To manage business correspondence. We communicate with customers, professional contacts and partners, and keep relevant records of what was requested or proposed. Our legitimate interest is to manage these relationships responsibly while respecting your rights.
- To keep the website working. Session handling, validation and abuse prevention support a functional, secure quotation service.
- To meet legal obligations or handle a claim. Relevant records may be needed for an applicable legal duty, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell personal information. If a separate optional activity requires consent, we explain it and ask first; you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful use.
4. Who may receive information
Information is available to people authorised to respond to the enquiry or carry out the agreed work. Where needed, relevant information may also be handled by technical providers for hosting, email, maintenance or backups, or by professional advisers and authorities for a legal obligation or claim.
Viewing a product does not send an identifiable project brief to its manufacturer. If a supplier or installation partner needs to help with your request, we limit the information shared to what is needed for that purpose. Enquiry records and quotation documents are not published as public downloads.
5. External services and processing locations
Information can be held in website records, related correspondence, quotation documents and protected backups. The processing location depends on the service and contact channel used. External providers, including messaging platforms, may process information outside Albania under their own arrangements.
Where we arrange a transfer that is subject to data-protection requirements, the applicable transfer conditions and safeguards must be met. Contact info@camnetix.com for information about the arrangements and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
WhatsApp and social-media buttons are links to separate services. They do not send a message automatically. If you choose to open or use WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or a manufacturer’s website, that provider also handles information under its own privacy policy.
Optional connection test
If you choose “Start test” in the service console, your browser connects to the selected external LibreSpeed server to measure latency, download and upload speed. The test transfers data, and the server receives your network address and technical requests. The available servers are operated by Consortium GARR in Rome, Serbian Open eXchange in Belgrade and Clouvider in Frankfurt; the selected provider and location are shown before the test starts.
CamNetix does not enable LibreSpeed telemetry, IP/ISP lookup, public result sharing or saved measurement history. Results are displayed in your browser. The external server may maintain its own operational or security logs. The test does not start automatically when you visit the website or open the Speed test tab, and you can stop it at any time.
6. Cookies and similar technology
The website uses necessary session functionality to remember selected equipment and support the quotation form. The quotation session cookie, normally named wp_woocommerce_session_*, usually lasts around two days for a visitor. Signed-in administrators have separate authentication and preference cookies.
Short-lived server-side checks limit repeated submissions and prevent the same request being saved twice. The enquiry form uses a keyed, hashed network identifier for abuse prevention rather than storing the raw IP address in the enquiry record. Separate hosting or security logs may still contain IP addresses.
The current website has no optional audience analytics or advertising pixels. Fonts and the catalogue photographs used on the website are served locally by the website. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking or clearing the session cookie may remove your saved equipment list or stop parts of the form from working. We will update this policy and any required choices before introducing optional tracking.
7. How long information is kept
Retention depends on why the information is needed, rather than one period for every record:
- Enquiries and proposals: the progress of the request, any continuing discussion, the agreed work and the need for a reasonable record of what was requested or proposed.
- Contract, transaction or dispute records: applicable legal obligations, contractual responsibilities and the need to deal with a claim.
- Technical records: the period needed to keep the service working, investigate an incident or prevent abuse. The standard visitor quotation session is short-lived; session expiry does not delete an enquiry that has already been submitted.
- Backups and privacy requests: recovery needs and the minimum record needed to complete a request or demonstrate how it was handled. Backup copies may remain until their rotation or expiry.
Information should be deleted or anonymised when its purpose and any lawful retention requirement have ended. This requires review; submitted enquiries and quotation history do not disappear automatically when your browser session expires. You can contact us to ask about the information held for your request or to request deletion, subject to any applicable legal exception.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on the applicable conditions, you can request access and a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent where it is the basis for a separate activity.
Contact info@camnetix.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We respond without undue delay and within 30 days. Where a permitted extension is necessary for a complex or numerous request, the response period may extend to 60 days; we explain the reasons within the initial 30 days. Requests are normally handled free of charge. If a right is limited by a legal obligation or claim, we explain the relevant reason.
You can also complain to Albania’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner. The Commissioner’s complaint guidance and contact information explain how to proceed.
9. Security and automated decisions
We restrict administrative access and use safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. No website or communication channel can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you believe information connected with your enquiry has been exposed or used incorrectly.
The quotation process does not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. Technical checks support session validation, duplicate prevention and protection against abuse; they are not advertising profiles.
10. Information involved in service work
This policy covers the website and related enquiries. Access to a client’s CCTV recordings, user accounts, access logs or other operational data is handled within the agreed service scope and, where appropriate, a separate data-processing arrangement. Sending a website enquiry does not grant access to those systems.
The website is intended for people seeking equipment or technical services and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
11. Updates and contact
We update this policy when the website, services or data practices change. The date above identifies the current version. For a privacy question or request, contact info@camnetix.com or +355 69 431 0990.
Relevant legal framework: Albania’s Law No. 124/2024 on personal data protection.
